Today, we are delighted to celebrate an extraordinary milestone for Brian “Skip” Stubbs, who marks 50 years as the Lead Volunteer (formerly Group Scout Leader) at 1st Chopwell Scout Group.



Skip’s Scouting journey with the group began in 1969, and on 19th May 1976 he took on the role of Group Scout Leader. Five decades later, he continues to lead the group with the same dedication, enthusiasm and commitment that have inspired generations of young people and adult volunteers.
Over the past 50 years, Skip has played a pivotal role in the success of 1st Chopwell Scout Group. His leadership, encouragement and unwavering support have helped countless young people develop skills for life, while also mentoring and supporting volunteers who have given their time to Scouting.
Reaching 50 years in the group’s leading volunteer role is an exceptional achievement and reflects Skip’s lifelong commitment to Scouting and to the local community.
