We are incredibly proud to share that our very own Lead Volunteer, Brian “Skip” Stubbs, has been honoured with a Red Kite Award by our local MP, Liz Twist.

Skip has been a dedicated member of 1st Chopwell Scout Group since 1969, giving more than five decades of service to young people in our community. Since 1976, he has led the group with passion, commitment, and an unwavering belief in the power of Scouting to change lives.

This award is a well-deserved recognition of Skip’s exceptional contribution—not only to the young people of Chopwell, but to the countless volunteers he has supported, inspired, and encouraged over the years.

From all of us at 1st Chopwell Scout Group:
Congratulations, Skip — and thank you for everything you do.
