During 2024, we were awarded a large sum of money by the Youth Investment Fund. The focus of this project was to improve the energy efficiency of our building. All works were completed during the summer of 2024.
- New Tarmac Drive – The outdoor appearance of our HQ has been improvement with the patio and hardcore areas being replaced by a new tarmac drive
- Insulation – We’ve had cavity wall insulation installed throughout the building to help make the building warmer during the winter months
- Solar Panels & Battery Storage – This is by far one of the best elements of this project, solar panels which generate electric during the day, charge a battery and then let us use this battery on an evening. We’ve massively cut our electric usage from the grid
- Accessible WC – We’ve replaced our 2 x single cubicles with 1 fully accessible WC, complete with hand dryer and emergency alarm
- Air Source Heat Pump – New radiators have been installed throughout the building, powered by our new air source heat pump. This will give us warmth throughout the winter, replacing our ageing gas heaters. Combined with Solar PV, Battery Storage and Insulation we’ll be significantly cutting our utilities bill.
